I am a licensed clinical social worker who has been practicing since 2004. I completed my undergraduate education at the University of Michigan with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and hold a Master's Degree in Social Work from Boston College with a clinical concentration in Children, Youth and Families. I have extensive experience working with adolescents and families, working in both office based and home based settings. My specialization is adolescent behavior problems, depression and anxiety in adolescents and adults, and family therapy. My approach is one that views the individual as holding the solution to the struggles presented. All symptoms and behaviors have meaning and together we will explore ways to make these experiences more useful. I use research supported interventions that will help us set an effective course for treatment. In addition to the clinical work that I have done, I have also spent a considerable part of my career serving as a clinical consultant and research expert to mental health organizations in Louisiana, New Mexico, Colorado, and Washington, DC.

In my practice, I have worked with a wide range of clients, from adults to children, including couples and families. I'm trained in a wide range of therapeutic techniques and styles, but feel most at home using a combination of client-centered and cognitive-behavioral therapy. I believe that at its core, therapy is forming a positive relationship, and then using that relationship to motivate and reinforce healing and change. I have a lot of experience working with children and families. I've helped a number of children and families learn to communicate better, change maladaptive patterns, feel better about themselves, and enjoy life more. If so I would love to hear from you in order to see if I am a good fit to help. I love working with all types of family systems, currently with couples or adult individuals. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, with over 15 years of experience in the field. I work from a collaborative approach taking into consideration the whole family system. I am a member of AASECT (American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists). I am pursuing advanced training in sex therapy as a Sex Therapist. I have immediate availability for adults with daytime availability and a short wait for minors and clients who need late afternoon appointments. To get started, complete our screening form found on our website at www.alliancementalhealth.org. I've worked with a variety of clients mostly focused on younger adults and children. I spent a year before coming to AMH working as a Substance Abuse Counselor and have worked with clients to address anxiety, depression, and trauma. I hope to provide a comfortable place for you so we can go on the journey that is therapy together. For me, therapy is a safe place to truly explore the areas of our lives that impact our daily interactions with ourselves and those around us. Sometimes, when we go somewhere new we need a guide, someone who can help us climb the steep mountains safely and maneuver the hard terrain that can come. My goal as your therapist is to be that guide and help you navigate through the discoveries made throughout the process. Therapy can be emotionally challenging and can bring about vulnerability that is uncomfortable at times but what I hope to create for you is a place where you know your vulnerability will be protected and safe.

I struggled with depression, anxiety, and ADHD, suicide ideation. I’ve had a long journey of healing. As a counselor, I now use tools I’ve learned to help others. I will help you to stop distracting and avoiding yourself, as you strive to gain a deeper understanding of the “why’s” of your feelings and behaviors. As we work together, you’ll learn to work with yourself instead of against. Tools within IFS, open paths for us to know ourselves better so we can unload emotional burdens, fears, and pain and learn to move forward and heal. Along this path of understanding you will gain compassion and appreciation for yourself as you look back and realize how strong you really are. IFS is the main modality I use. I am a Certified IFS Therapist by the IFS institute. This is not traditional talk therapy. If you would like to learn more please take a look the IFS page on my website: www.mollymv.com. I'm excited that a part of you is curious about ways to get support for whatever life has thrown at you. This is a puzzling time for most! There may be a part of us that is anxious, depressed, critical, scared or many other sensations that can take a hold of us. For years and even decades we have formed our own ways of dealing with things with the tools we had available. There is help and support for all of us from the world outside of us and from the world within us. Mental health and addiction are quiet illnesses that we often don't want to share or acknowledge. You are not alone and you do not have to work with these parts alone. It can be with the people from Parts to Recovery, support groups, or any type of support, I am glad you have taken the first steps of being curious to a different today. I am counselor that looks beyond a diagnosis and strives to support people as individuals with their own unique story. I appreciate that in looking for a counselor you have taken your first steps toward change. I offer nonjudgmental support towards navigating these difficult times. Please call 603-617-8683 to set up a free phone or video consultation and visit my website for more information at www.partstorecovery.com

I'm a certified EMDR therapist licensed in NH, ME and MA. My passions are trauma, young adults, adults, the LGBTQ+ community & the slightly eccentric and off-beat. I have no interest in being a cookie cutter, blank slate type therapist. If that’s what you’re looking for, I may not be for you. A comfortable, safe connection is top priority. I have experience providing therapy in college counseling and this population is near to my heart. I'm an LGBTQ+ affirming therapist, ally to the community and enjoy working with people as they discover who they. I’ve been supporting people for 15+ years in various capacities and offer individual therapy, including EMDR, to support: trauma, self-esteem, interpersonal relationships, marriage issues, job stress, depression, anxiety, trans/gender/sexuality expression and identity, pregnancy/postpartum/loss and more. My goal is to be a welcoming place where you feel accepted for who you are, gain awareness and feel heard. Be yourself and be proud. My personality is super down-to-earth, I tend to curse a lot, yet professional. When I'm not working I'm practicing Ashtanga Yoga, knitting, graveyard wandering or watching spooky things.

Life is filled with peaks and valleys and sometimes we can lose sight of ourselves in the midst of change. Wouldn’t it be nice to have some space and time set aside just for you, to breathe and reconnect with yourself? In these moments of pause it is possible to find balance and alignment between your mind, body and soul and begin to show love and acceptance for all the different versions of yourself. I strive to create a therapeutic environment where you can build confidence in yourself and feel safe and supported in order to heal and grow. I enjoy working with people to help them learn about and manage symptoms of anxiety, trauma, relationship issues or difficulty adjusting to life changes. I believe in the healing power of self-care and use this in my practice. I have experience working with survivors of abuse, adolescents with emotional disabilities and adults in mental health treatment. It takes a lot of courage to reach out and seek support at any stage of life. Together we will sort out what's most important to you and address these things in our future sessions. I am honored to be able to provide clinical services to those suffering from Substance Use Disorders. My ideal in practice is to form a strong, collaborative, therapeutic relationship with my clients. My style is empathetic, compassionate, and direct. I believe that by exploring thoughts, emotions, and maladaptive behavior patterns, we can become more insightful and understanding of ourselves. Through this vulnerable process we are able to create life-long change that will increase self esteem and the ability to form close interpersonal relationships with those we care about. I provide Psychotherapy, LADC Evaluations, Impaired Driver Aftercare, EMDR and Neurofeedback to help address the needs of my clients. Neurofeedback is particularly effective in reducing the symptoms of co-occurring disorders like anxiety, depression, trauma, focus, and overall emotional regulation. I have been working to help those in their journey of recovery for the past nine years and have witnessed many individuals become empowered and take back control of their lives after becoming hindered by their addiction.
